Tony Orrico’s work has reached mass circulation for its ingenuity within the vernacular of performance and conceptual drawing. He uses his own somatic research, Suspension, as point of entry into his visual practice. He is interested in organized consciousness and applications of the body to a surface, object, or determined course. The relic of his performances often display reflective and rotational symmetries that are generated by the movement and measure of his body.

Orrico has performed/exhibited his work in the US, Australia, Belgium, China, Denmark, France, Germany, Mexico, the Netherlands, Poland and Spain. His visual work is in collection at The National Academy of Sciences (Washington DC) and Museo Universitario de Arte Contemporáneo (MUAC, Mexico City) as well as prominent private collections. He has presented at Centre Pompidou-Metz, New Museum, and Poptech 2011: The World Rebalancing.
